A Ball Game and A Headache

Yesterday we all went to Brianna's basketball game. I've noticed that I still have to remind myself that we aren't in Ohio anymore. I still see Utah license plates and think "Wow, they're from Utah!" or see someone in a BYU sweatshirt and think, "I went there maybe I should talk to them." Maybe that'll pass.
The game went really well until the end of the third quarter when the West Point Warriors led the game for the first time. Brianna had picked up a couple of fouls really fast so her coach decided to sit her with four. That was really hard, because the team really needs to have her height as an advantage. Brianna's team ended up loosing just by three, but they shouldn't have.
I felt really bad for Brianna and her team mates, but I felt worse for Tom who had a headache the whole game and was in tears by the time it was over. (I can sympathize with a headache.) On our way home we stopped and got him some medicine to help him feel better and we thought he'd be okay.
Since he'd had some medicine, I thought that on our way we could go pick up a picture from my friend who had a contest on her blog right before Christmas. I was one of the random winners and my prize was one of her beautiful landscapes that she's photographed. I was really excited, because I haven't seen her since moving back to Utah. We didn't make it very far before Tom was complaining about feeling sick. He's really good about letting me know and if he doesn't vocalize it--I can look at his face and see in his sheet-like appearance that he's close to loosing it. We tried to make it to the McDonald's parking lot, but were too late.
Needless to say I didn't get to pick up my new picture, but stayed home and cleaned up the car, gave a bath, and did a load of laundry.
